Neen Pelvic Health Educator®
Pelvic Floor Exercise Indicator
This easy-to-use device acts as a visual aid by showing you if your pelvic floor muscles are contracting the way they should. Developed from the award-winning Periform® Probe, it helps you strengthen your muscles, reducing your stress incontinence symptoms.
You will like it because:
- It’s simple to use while doing Kegel exercises
- It tells you visually if you are doing your pelvic floor exercises correctly
- It strengthens your pelvic floor muscles
- Demonstrates benefit of bracing before coughing etc.
- You can monitor your progress
- It’s single patient use and easy to clean for ongoing use
Attach the indicator wand to the body of the Educator®. Then insert the Educator® into your vagina (similar to inserting a tampon). Do your Kegel exercises. As you contract your muscles, the indicator wand will follow the internal walls of the vagina, so you will know if you are doing it correctly. The external part of the Educator® amplifies this movement to show whether these muscles are being contracted correctly or not. There is growing awareness of the significant contribution that the pelvic floor muscles make to lumbo-pelvic stability. As such it is important that patients are able to correctly contract the pelvic floor muscles so that they may be incorporated safely into core stability training.
Why is the Neen Educator® important?
It is recognized by Continence Care specialists that teaching correct pelvic floor contractions is extremely difficult. Studies have shown that, even with one-to-one training, half of those instructed will not contract their Pelvic Floors correctly. In fact, almost half of those contracting incorrectly will get it so wrong that they are in danger of damaging their pelvic floor. This device is perfect for patients to use at home to ensure they are doing pelvic floor exercises correctly.
Do not use Educator® if you are pregnant, during your period, if you have a prolapse or vaginal infection. Safety Information; Please consult your physician and/or healthcare professional before ordering.
